We’re committed to being part of the community in Wolverton and Milton Keynes.

That started right at the beginning, when we were first thinking about Milton Keynes Waste Recovery Park. We made sure we went out and spoke to local residents and our immediate neighbours first, held information events and made a commitment to keeping everyone informed.

We continue to keep you updated through this website and also through our series of newsletters.

We also run a Community Liaison Group, made up of key stakeholders including local councillors, businesses and residents. The group gives members an opportunity to find out more, ask questions and visit the site to see how construction is progressing.

As we’re currently in construction, the project is registered with the Considerate
Constructors scheme. The scheme’s Code of Considerate Practice commits companies to care about appearance, respect the community, protect the environment, secure everyone’s safety and value their workforce.

The Milton Keynes Waste Recovery Park site will be monitored by the scheme throughout construction, including regular site visits to make sure our commitments are being met. If any neighbours have comments about what is happening on site, they are
able to raise these with the scheme.

And, when the facility opens, we’ll have a dedicated visitor centre for local schools and the community to use.
