Visitors and community
It’s vital that we understand what happens to our waste – this helps us to think about how we can reduce and recycle our rubbish.
By learning more about waste and recycling, we can all do our bit for the Milton Keynes environment. That is why here at Milton Keynes Waste Recovery Park we would like to help with that learning!
We have a dedicated visitor centre for local schools and the community to use as part of hands on sessions.
We also run a Community Liaison Group, made up of key stakeholders including local Councillors, businesses and residents. The group gives members an opportunity to find out more, ask questions and visit the site to see how it is progressing.
Further information Coronavirus COVID-19 update
In order to comply with relevant health and safety legislation, to support the Government’s efforts to ‘contain’ and ‘delay’ the spread of the virus, and to support business continuity planning, Amey is implementing additional site control measures from Monday 16 March.
Additional site control measures
One of the measures deemed necessary to mitigate the impact of the pandemic is to implement site control to essential personnel only, to support ‘social distancing’ measures recommended by the Government to ‘delay’ the spread of the virus. This includes:
- Suspension of all external visits including educational and industry visits
These measures will remain in place until further notice. If you have scheduled a meeting at or a visit to one of our sites, a member of our team will contact you to discuss rescheduling. Further updates will be provided in due course.
We thank all our stakeholders, partners and suppliers for their understanding and support at this time.
